Fall is around the corner and that means pumpkin flavored everything is popping up.
One of my favorite fall treats (despite the 80-90° Texas weather) is Starbucks pumpkin spice latte. I've tried to replicate this at home only to be disappointed because it never tastes like theirs.
Unfortunately my favorite seasonal beverage might not be safe for me since I recently read an article that Starbucks not only pulled a gluten-free bread from their inventory but also retracted gluten-free status from their drinks. According to what I read, because of cross-contamination they can no longer label any drink gluten-free.
However, I cannot find any statement concerning this issue on the Starbucks website and newsroom.
Now this is only a warning since I can't seem to find the original source of that article. I'm pretty sure I read it in a gluten-free magazine but I am researching like crazy to find it. I will keep you updated but once I find it I will let you know!
But again this is just a friendly warning to exercise caution and your best judgment as always.
